It is an ascorbic acid serum, so that is brownie point number one because a lot of brands just skip the ascorbic acid and put in these derivatives that haven't really been shown to do what ascorbic acid does.
Neutrogena is a brand that has a lot of R&D behind their formulations. They take them into clinical studies.
It is an ascorbic acid serum that you can be confident in, but you're not shelling out that price point.
It's at an effective percentage strength, and it also has some other antioxidants in the formula that likely play a supporting role in stabilizing the ascorbic acid.
What I really love about this is two things. First of all, is gluconolactone, which is a polyhydroxy acid.
It also has this micropeptide that they actually worked quite a bit on developing for, I'm going to say, 15 years.
It has been taken into the clinic and tested on actual patients and shown to improve wrinkles and interestingly enough, lower facial sagging.
This is one that at baseline is affordable. It meets all the criteria for what I would consider a good vitamin C serum.
