I'm a UCLA and MIT graduate, and I've been obsessed with beauty products since I was a kid. For as long as I can remember I've followed beauty creators. I admire the dermatologists, makeup artists, estheticians, the beauty reviewers who stay honest, even when their honesty costs them a sponsorship. Their objectiveness makes their recommendations worth trusting.
Why I built it
All of that knowledge is genuinely valuable, but it sits buried in thousands of videos. I always wished someone would gather it in one place so people could actually use it. Nobody made it, so I did.
Where I learned the business
I also founded and run We Hit Pan, a beauty shop that lives on Shopify and TikTok. Running it taught me the parts you cannot learn from the outside. I talk to customers. I see which creator videos actually make someone buy. I have watched how much a real, human review matters in social commerce. GrailPeople is built on what I learned there.
Where this is going
GrailPeople is more than a search tool to me. I want it to become a community for people who love beauty the way I do. And I want it to be the bridge between real human reviews and the way people are starting to shop with AI. When an AI suggests a product, that suggestion should be rooted in what real, trusted people actually said. That is the whole point.
