I like that there's a published study that was done on this exact product comparing it to the gold standard retinoid for anti-aging, which is prescription tretinoin.▶ 5:08–5:15
At 4, 8, and 12 weeks, the AlphaRet side was non-inferior to tretinoin at improving fine lines, facial redness, facial discoloration, and skin tone.
It was also less irritating than both retinol and tretinoin.
Unlike tretinoin which reduced skin hydration, AlphaRet increased skin hydration.
I really like this product because I have sensitive skin even though I hate how expensive it is.
If I completely ignore prices and I live in La La Land, it is my favorite over-the-counter retinoid.
My sensitive skin tolerates it well.
I like how the color isn't as scary as the stronger retinal's too.
The Skin Better Alpharet overnight cream is $145 for 30 mls.▶ 10:06–10:12
