Brand note
Bond-repair haircare that's become a baseline for damaged hair.
Olaplex is the bond-repair brand that basically created the category, and its shampoo and conditioner system is what most people start with. The formula does seem to make a difference for damaged hair, but one creator who tested it alongside a drugstore option found the cheaper alternative worked better for her, which raises the question of whether Olaplex is worth the premium. The dry shampoo, at $30, didn't leave a strong impression either. It's a solid entry point for bond repair, but not necessarily a standout across the board.
