Brand note
Amika is a hair care brand that creators reach for when they want something that actually works without making hair feel gross. The Perk Up Plus dry shampoo absorbs oil and leaves hair feeling clean, especially if you blow-dry it after — though one creator noted it might cause breakouts for acne-prone scalps. The Soulfood mask and The Shield heat protectant also get consistent shout-outs for hydration and lightweight protection. Not everything lands: the Normcore shampoo and conditioner were called fine but not worth the price, and the Aura hair mist was described as too subtle to smell.
