  1. @abbeyyung reviewing e.l.f. Cosmetics Humidity Hero Anti-Frizz Styling Spray at 05:44 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • Both products claim to repel moisture and humidity, reduce frizz, give glossy, silky smooth results with a lightweight, non-greasy feel, and require heat to activate with heated tension giving best results2:00
    • I would say that Elf is maybe just a little bit more watery while Color Wow has maybe the littlest bit more slip, but it's not a big difference at all5:44
    • I just don't think that there's a drastic difference. I think both add really great shine and do a nice job of making my hair smooth and sleek6:21
    • I did notice that my brush would catch and snag a little bit more with that in and my hair felt a little less soft and smooth than Color Wow7:15
    • I feel like Elf actually looks a little bit better here. It just looks a little less frazzled8:38
    • Elf held up really well in high humidity despite its much lower price9:13
    • Technically, if we're being technical and really being nitty-gritty about which one I think feels better, looks better, gives me better results overall, I do think that Color Wow wins but not by a ton9:17
    • Is there enough of a difference to where I feel like I have to spend $30 versus $9 to get these kinds of results? No9:27
    • Is Elf Humidity Hero an exact dupe of Color Wow Dream Coat? No. Is it a good option for $9? Yes. Am I going to repurchase it now that I'm done testing it? No
  2. @abbeyyung reviewing Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray at 06:32 in a YouTube Shorts video
    Color Wow$27.99
    • Both products claim to repel moisture and humidity, reduce frizz, give glossy, silky smooth results with a lightweight, non-greasy feel, and require heat to activate with heated tension giving best results2:00
    • I do think Color Wow looks a little shinier and sleeker, but the difference is not drastic is what my point is6:32
    • I think that Color Wow just felt a little softer and smoother and it was easier to brush through my hair with that in than it was with Elf7:03
    • Technically, if we're being technical and really being nitty-gritty about which one I think feels better, looks better, gives me better results overall, I do think that Color Wow wins but not by a ton9:17
  3. @abbeyyung reviewing L'Oreal Paris Everpure Iron Sleek Coat Anti-Frizz Hair Treatment at 10:07 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I personally like L'Oreal Paris Iron Sleek better. I feel like it makes my hair softer and smoother. It detangles better. It also has confirmed 450° of heat protection versus unknown and lasts for up to five washes versus three to four with Color Wow and unknown with Elf9:41
    • I love the smell of L'Oreal Paris Iron Sleek10:07
  4. @abbeyyung reviewing e.l.f. Cosmetics 3-in-Wonder Magic Styling Cream at 13:17 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • Elf is thicker and balmier and more slick. I would not describe Elf as lightweight or whipped at all12:53
    • I think that they both do a nice job of making my hair look smooth and sleek13:17
    • With Elf, I feel like it almost dulls my shine a little15:28
    • Elf isn't not smooth, it just it doesn't feel as smooth as Day, and it definitely increases friction while brushing a little bit
    • Where I think that Elf out-performs Day and does a better job for me is with curl definition and style hold
    • Is Elf an exact dupe of Day? Definitely not. Do they have some of the same benefits? Yes, but are there enough similarities for me to feel like I can say that Elf is close enough to being a dupe? No
    • I do feel like this is a solid option for $9, but because I like that one so much more, and that is really why I would have reached for a styling cream, I would stick with Nexxus over this, and I won't be repurchasing this15:47
  5. @abbeyyung reviewing dae Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream at 12:59 in a YouTube Shorts video
    dae$30.00
    • Day is very soft, silky, and lightweight. It feels kind of whipped to me. It has a really nice texture12:43
    • I personally feel that Day just has better spreadability. Like the way it glides in my hair is just a little bit more seamless and effortless than with Elf12:59
    • I prefer the way that Day looks because I notice a bit of extra shine that I get with it13:26
    • I also prefer the way that Day feels. It's just softer, smoother, and more weightless in my hair
    • I don't really notice either of those things with Day at all. I don't think that it makes my curls more defined. It doesn't make my curls last longer14:34
  6. @abbeyyung reviewing Nexxus MVP Styler Multitasking Cream at 14:46 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • That is the best styling cream I've ever tried for that purpose. Like the way that just defines my curls, makes them last so much longer. It is so, so impressive14:46
  7. @abbeyyung reviewing e.l.f. Cosmetics Gloss Mode Treatment Oil at 20:12 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • The Elf oil looks like it's a bit thicker when you dispense it, but it's something that has more of that chew just like silicone-like slip feel to it. It's very slickery and slippery. But it doesn't feel greasy to me like an actual oil20:10
    • It takes less of that Olaplex oil to make my hair look greasy and stringy and weigh it down than it does that Elf oil
    • Elf just feels lighter in my hair but still gives me all those benefits that I'm looking for
    • I think visually, I don't really see a difference in terms of smoothing or adding shine. They both do a really nice job
    • Elf comes out on top for me and is something that I definitely prefer20:12
    • If you are looking for something that is cheaper than high-end options, then Elf is definitely a really nice $10 hair oil that smells incredible22:42
  8. @abbeyyung reviewing Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil at 21:30 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • The Olaplex oil is thinner and more fluid, but not necessarily more lightweight. I actually find that it feels a little bit greasy21:17
    • It takes less of that Olaplex oil to make my hair look greasy and stringy and weigh it down than it does that Elf oil21:30
    • I think visually, I don't really see a difference in terms of smoothing or adding shine. They both do a really nice job22:02
    • It doesn't have the repair ingredient and if that is the main reason why you buy this Olaplex oil, Elf is not going to be an alternative for you22:25
  9. @abbeyyung reviewing Dove Bond Shield 10 in 1 Serum at 22:54 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • Dove is definitely a little more fluid and also lighter20:54
    • Dove, which gives all of the exact same benefits, is $10 for 3.3 oz of product. So, you do the math. 70% cheaper per ounce than Elf22:54
  10. @abbeyyung reviewing e.l.f. Cosmetics Never Thirsty Moisturizing Shampoo at 32:53 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • It cleans a lot better. It feels a lot lighter in my hair. And honestly, for a shampoo that is supposed to be moisturizing, it does a really nice job of cleaning without leaving any sort of heavy conditioning residue behind30:26
    • I like the shampoo. I had no issues with it. It just doesn't do anything for me that my other favorites don't already do for me to feel like, oh, I need to keep buying this shampoo only32:53
  11. @abbeyyung reviewing e.l.f. Cosmetics Never Thirsty Moisturizing Conditioner at 31:33 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • The Elf Conditioner is thicker and creamier than Moroccan Oil, but for a cream, it's one that is definitely on the lightweight side31:26
    • This does give me better slip while in the shower, but after I don't feel like I love my results much more31:33
    • This just does not condition as well as those31:45
    • I have to use a thicker, creamier leave-in spray with this. Otherwise, if I do something lightweight and liquidy like Pantene Miracle Rescue, TRESemme Keratin Smooth, TRESemme Heat Tamer, I do not like how my hair feels afterwards31:49
    • I just I never love how my hair feels with this31:59
    • I DID NOT LIKE THE CONDITIONER EITHER. It made my ears really, really tangled35:23
  12. @abbeyyung reviewing Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo at 30:11 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • The Moroccan Oil shampoo is a thick, stiff, dense, pearlescent gel30:20
    • I actually don't have good results with the Moroccan Oil shampoo. It definitely makes my hair feel heavy, and by the next morning after using it, my roots look greasy and dirty30:11
  13. @abbeyyung reviewing Moroccanoil Hydrating Conditioner at 31:03 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • The Moroccanoil Conditioner feels very soft and creamy, but at the same time really lightweight30:46
    • I definitely felt myself needing more slip in the shower. I could just tell it was not helping to detangle and separate my hair as much as I needed to in order to apply it evenly31:03
    • I was not surprised that my hair did feel just more dry and tangled than normal after using this set31:11
  14. @abbeyyung reviewing OGX Coconut Miracle Oil Penetrating Oil at 23:42 in a YouTube Shorts video
    OGX$10.99
    • Something like the OGX coconut or argan oils are going to be quite a bit thicker than Elf, but the mists are definitely lighter and are also a better deal23:42
  15. no still
    OGX$9.99
    • Something like the OGX coconut or argan oils are going to be quite a bit thicker than Elf, but the mists are definitely lighter and are also a better deal
  16. @abbeyyung reviewing Pantene Miracle Rescue 10-in-1 Multitasking Leave-in Conditioner Spray at 31:53 in a YouTube Shorts video
    Pantene$12.84
    • If I do something lightweight and liquidy like Pantene Miracle Rescue, TRESemme Keratin Smooth, TRESemme Heat Tamer, I do not like how my hair feels afterwards31:53

  19. @abbeyyung reviewing Redken One United Leave in Conditioner at 32:11 in a YouTube Shorts video
    Redken$31.00
    • If I do use a thicker, creamier leave-in spray like a Redken One United, a L'Oreal 21 in 1, Pureology Color Fanatic, it definitely makes it a lot more manageable and it helps kind of like compensate for some of that32:11
  20. @abbeyyung reviewing L'Oreal Paris Everpure Clarify Shampoo at 29:01 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • L'Oreal Clarify, Pantene Sheer Volume, Garnier Pure Clean, all of those are more slippy than Elf29:01
  21. @abbeyyung reviewing Pantene Sheer Volume Shampoo at 15:02 in a YouTube Shorts video
    Pantene$5.49
    • L'Oreal Clarify, Pantene Sheer Volume, Garnier Pure Clean, all of those are more slippy than Elf15:02
