  1. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing IT Cosmetics Airbrush Complexion Perfection Brush #115 at 01:34 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • This is very dense. It is also quite flat, and the top has a little bit of a wispiness1:23
    • Even the most watery, liquidy formula foundation is not going to seep into the brush1:34
    • I love the fact that with this, I can really take those thinner formulas and pat them on and apply them in layers1:51
    • It makes it really easy to add thin layers to the face to really customize that coverage1:59
    • I also find that this works well for more full coverage foundations as well2:17
    • Because it has that flat top, I just feel like it makes it really easy to get that coverage where you need it2:25
  2. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty 115 Medium Contoured Foundation at 03:12 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • BK Beauty is one of my favorite makeup brush brands. I feel like their shapes are very thoughtful, and their fibers are synthetic and incredibly soft2:39
    • These brushes perfectly hug the face. They're beautifully dense and soft, perfect for foundation3:12
    • I like the 115 better than the 101, or I tend to use it a little bit more because I think the smaller size is a bit more versatile3:20
    • I think that I can be more precise with the placement of my foundation, so I don't have to apply too much to my face because, especially as we get older, less is more3:27
    • I also think that the 115 is a bit more multi-purpose because I feel like I can use this for cream bronzer. I can also use it for cream contour. I can also use it for cream blush or or liquid blush or liquid bronzer3:36
    • If I had to choose, I usually reach for this one over the 101 just because I can do like half my face, you know, just using this one brush3:58
  3. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty 109 Mini Contoured Foundation at 04:58 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I find that this one is considerably smaller than the 115. This is definitely something that I use to blend out my under eye concealer, any kind of concealer on the face4:45
    • It basically has the same shape, but it's not quite as dense. It's a little bit more delicate, which I think makes it really great for blending out concealer and product under the eyes4:58
    • I also have heard from many of my subscribers that they like to use this for cream blush5:07
    • I also think that this is fantastic for cream or liquid highlighter5:30
    • this is perfect for blending all of those out5:51
  4. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation Brush at 06:34 in a YouTube Shorts video
    Hourglass$60.00
    • I don't use this for foundation. I find this to be a little bit small and narrow. But what I do think that this is good for is basically the same stuff as the 109
    • I just really appreciate this more narrow shape for kind of really getting in there under the eye6:16
    • It's a little bit denser. So, if you find that maybe some of your cream products are a little bit hard to pick up out of the pan, I would go in with this
    • I love the fact because it is dense, I can almost use this as like a powder puff. I'll dip this into some powder, and then I'll kind of just like pat the powder onto my nose6:34
  5. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr LC 01 Brush at 08:11 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • This is a great detail concealer brush8:08
    • If you want to apply concealer just where you need it. If you're trying to avoid any fine lines, any creasing that you have around the eyes8:11
    • This is how you're going to be super precise to avoid getting product into those areas8:26
    • You can really just cover up, you know, what might be dark circles, redness, hyperpigmentation. You can use this all over the face8:31
    • It has that little like, you know, finger shape, so it's kind of mimicking the effect that you would get from a finger with no streaks8:41
  6. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing ESUM V27 Small Angled Shadow Brush at 09:19 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I live for this brush
    • This is the bittiest, tiniest little finger shape brush that you can use for any kind of detail work9:10
    • Boom, pop a little eye brightener on that, and it is camouflage9:19
    • You can use it for concealer. You can use it on your complexion, but you can also use this as an eye shadow brush9:29
    • You can use this for cream eye shadow. For anything that's like kind of creamy or liquidy, this is great for9:36
    • Any kind of shimmer that you need to like pat onto the eye, this is going to be so precise. It's going to give you that professional look without any fallout
    • You really can use this all over the face. It is a fantastic brush9:55
  7. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty 105 Large Buffer Brush at 10:27 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • Without a doubt, the bronzer brush that I've been using the most over the past year is this big boy from BK Beauty10:03
    • I find that I can just dip this into my bronzer and it will pick up because it is so dense, it will pick up any kind of baked formula10:27
    • If you have bronzers where you're like, Oh, I'm having trouble picking it up off the pan. Or I get hard pan a lot. This is going to pick it up so easily because it's so dense10:40
    • And then you almost can use it as like a powder puff. Like I pop it onto the face just like that. And it kind of just like sets my makeup and bronzes my face all in one
    • I just find it so quick and easy to slap my bronzer on when I am in a rush11:06
    • It does it in a way that doesn't disturb even like the dewiest foundation underneath. It's a really special brush11:14
    • This does fit inside the Guerlain Meteorites11:20
  8. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Sonia G. Sheer Buffer at 12:38 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • My favorite brand for buffer brushes, hands down, is Sonia G12:00
    • I just love how airy and wispy this brush is12:38
    • There are two different layers of bristles. There are some that are a little bit longer that pick up the pigment and there's some that are a little bit shorter. They really help to give that manpower to buff out the pigment once the brush hits your face12:45
    • This brush also has a mixture of both natural and synthetic fibers13:02
    • This is really kind of like a do-everything type of brush13:08
    • You can use this with both powder products, like a powder bronzer, but you can also use this with a cream bronzer. You can use this with a powder blush. You can also use it with a cream blush13:18
    • Because it is so airy and wispy, it just lends itself to a beautifully diffused application13:33
  9. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Details by Tati Buffer Brush (in Set) at 14:14 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I have been really liking this buffer brush14:04
    • It's a little bit shorter than the Sonia G one, so it's not as sort of airy, but it is fantastic, especially for cream blush, cream bronzer. Diffuses everything so, so nicely14:14
    • I think you could also use this for foundation. I think this is solid
    • They're very soft and they feel very high quality. So far, I'm very impressed14:34
  10. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing ANISA Multi-Powder Brush at 15:34 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I've really been liking this one. Anisa is kind of a newer brand to me and so far, this is my favorite from them15:09
    • I love, once again, that angled shape here, but this is fanned out and a lot fluffier
    • It's great for all over powder, for bronzer. You could even use this for blush
    • With the shape, it really splays out so nicely on the face. It's just a fantastic brush15:34
    • These are super duper soft and very durable15:41
  11. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty 102 Large Powder Brush at 15:57 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • This one is a little bit like longer, fluffier, floppier. This one is great for all over powder dusting
    • I feel like because it has a sort of floppy top as well, it doesn't pick up too much pigment. It's a big brush, but you're not going to overdo it15:57
  12. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Hourglass Veil Powder Brush at 16:23 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I love this. I think it's really great for travel16:22
    • I'll use this for bronzer or any kind of powder and then I'll kind of use the little one if I need to set my under eyes, if I want to do a little highlight, a little blush, something like that16:23
    • If you're trying to really be a minimalist here, this is definitely one that I have used for many years and I think it's a great brush16:33
  13. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing CHIKUHODO Mk-Sk (sakura) Powder Brush, Makie Series at 17:28 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • These powder brushes, not only do they have the beautiful handles, but the bristles as well are so soft and airy17:18
    • These are going to be very premium, the softest that I'm talking about in this video for sure17:28
    • It's a wonderful luxurious experience to just dust your bronzer, your powder, your blush on with these beautiful brushes17:38
  14. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty Nikki La Rose N20S Ultimate Diffuser Brush (small) at 19:01 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I really like brushes that have layered bristles of different lengths because it really helps to give you a more natural and diffused application. You don't pick up too much powder18:50
    • This is so cute and petite and bitty. I will dip this into pressed or loose powder and it just fits perfectly under the eye area19:01
    • A little trick that I like to do is I will actually roll the loose powder under the eye to set it so that I don't disturb any of the concealer that I laid on underneath19:13
    • You can kind of like get in here around the nose. Again, just where I need it19:22
  15. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Brush 38 Cheek Brush at 19:47 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • This has that kind of angled, almost finger-like shape and it is very wispy with the layered bristles19:39
    • This is what I would use if I just need to, I don't know, if I want something quicker, if I have a to set, this one is so good for that19:47
    • This also can be used for blush19:54
    • I would say I use this mostly for setting, for blending, and then for highlighter as well. It is beautiful20:01
  16. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Brush 05 at 20:34 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I just feel like this is the perfect size, shape, and fluffiness for any powder blush20:22
    • This is my go-to. I have multiples of this. I have this in my little travel brush kit. It's iconic to me20:34
    • This is one of their best brushes, hands down
    • It fits into the pan of a lot of different products, like for instance those Hourglass Ambient Lighting palettes. This is going to fit into all of those little squares20:42
    • You can use it for the bronzer, you can use it for the highlighter. This is also great for the Guerlain Meteorites20:58
    • It's just a great standard powder brush that's this kind of mid-size shape21:04
  17. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Shodō 05 at 21:59 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • These bristles are layered in a way that makes the brush extremely fluffy and airy. And it's not just like two different layers, it's like so multi-layered that it just creates the most airy, fluffy brush21:41
    • I think the Shodo 05 is their hardest brush for the artisans to make21:59
    • You get something that looks wispier. It's also a little bit smaller. It is also more angled22:07
    • I like to use the Shodo brushes when I want a more diffused look22:23
    • If you have a blush that's like really pigmented, with this you don't have to worry too much about picking up too much and getting that like dreaded spot on your face22:31
    • If you like a very natural look, you're really going to like the Shodo brushes from Rephr
    • I also think that this brush is really good with all of the cream to powder blushes22:57
    • These fibers that they use, they're very hearty, they wash very well. And I just feel like this brush does a great job of picking up those formulas and then blending them onto the face23:15
    • This has been my favorite for all of those, and it's small enough to fit into the pans of many of those products23:28
  18. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty Angie Hot & Flashy A507 Angled Blush at 23:54 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • This is going to be a synthetic fiber brush. It is denser, and it also is very angled. So what this allows you to do is to get a very lifted and sculpted look to the cheeks23:43
    • If you're really just trying to like lift up the face and get the blush on the higher points of the face, this is a great brush for that23:54
    • Because it is synthetic and because it is a little bit denser, I do find that this brush, it does a great job at picking up blushes that might be a little bit harder to pick up with the natural hair ones24:07
    • This one really grabs the pigment quite well, and then allows me to pat it onto the face24:22
    • If you're having trouble with any baked formulas or even cream formulas that you find are just a little bit hard to grab, try this24:29
    • I love to use these with those um Gucci glow blushes or even some of the YSL blushes24:36
    • Anytime I have issues with picking up blush or if it has like a creamier formula as well, I find that this one really does the trick24:41
  19. no still
    • The BK Beauty brush soap, it's like so good at getting out foundation or any any type of liquid product that's kind of like gunked onto the top of your brush
    • I just find that those two soaps, they're so good. And yes, I could use dish soap, I suppose, but I don't know. They last me a long time. I feel like it's a good investment, and I love those products
  20. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Brush Soap at 28:55 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I like to use my Rephr brush soap for my natural hair brushes28:50
    • I find that the Rephr brush soap, it really helps to keep those natural bristles moisturized. If they get dried out, that's when you start to have like shedding, and they're not as soft anymore. You want to sort of condition those natural hairs28:55
    • I just find that those two soaps, they're so good. And yes, I could use dish soap, I suppose, but I don't know. They last me a long time. I feel like it's a good investment, and I love those products29:26
  21. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Sonia G. Jumbo Blender at 30:34 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • Without a doubt my favorite one and done eye brush that you're even just to start the look out with one shade all over the lid is this one from Sonia G30:17
    • It's actually just like a big old chunky chunk shader brush. And because it's so chunky, again, like it's just perfect for slapping on a one and done type of shade30:34
    • It's so jumbo that it takes up like most of my eyelid and you can see right there just how easy it is to get it all over the lid30:47
    • It is such a beautiful soft brush
  22. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Brush 01 at 31:19 in a YouTube Shorts video
    Rephr$24.00
    • This is definitely their most multi-purpose eye brush. This was designed to be able to do an entire eye look with just one brush31:10
    • It's going to be fluffier and a bit flatter than the Sonia G and because of that, you can basically turn it on its side and you can lay down the shadow all over the lid and then you can turn it this way and you can use it as a crease brush31:19
    • It's just a great fluffy little brush for slapping that color on if you are in a rush or if you just like to do very simple looks31:44
  23. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty 203 Shader Brush at 32:30 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • These are going to be denser. They're going to be more precise. These are going to be better for packing on the color and they're also going to be useful for both creamier formulations, but also drier formulations31:57
    • They're good for applying any kind of shadow, but because they're a little bit shorter and denser, they're going to really help to pack on the color if you want to get more pigmentation32:30
    • If you're having trouble picking up the shadow, this is going to be a lot easier than that refer brush that I just showed you a second ago, which is so soft and wispy32:43
    • These are really going to scoop that product out of the pan and allow you to apply it in a very precise and detailed way33:00
    • These work beautifully with formulas like the Byredo eye shadows, which are very creamy, as are the Prada eye shadows33:30
  24. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty 209 Mini Shader at 33:08 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • They're essentially the same brush except one is smaller than the other. And if you go a little bit smaller, it just means that it's going to be more precise or it means it's going to be better if you have a smaller lid or smaller eye shape33:23
    • Usually what I will do is I'll use the bigger one on, you know, the main part of the lid and then I take the smaller one, the 209. And this is great for kind of, you know, highlighting the inner corner or getting another little color in there on the inner half of the eye33:08
    • If you have smaller eyes, then the smaller brushes, this might be your all over the lid shade33:24
  25. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Brush 16 at 34:10 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • Hands down my favorite crease brush is the Rephr 1634:07
    • This is just the perfect big fluffy dome shape to create that depth in the crease34:10
    • You have these natural hair fibers. It's super soft. It really blends out the shadows very well34:18
    • I have a lot of lid space, so this is the crease brush that works the best for my eye shape34:25
  26. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Brush 14 at 34:55 in a YouTube Shorts video
    Rephr$24.99
    • This for me would be more of like a detail crease brush. So I might go in first with the 16 to apply the color and then go in with the 14 to layer in a little bit more depth just where I need it34:43
    • Depending on your eye shape, this might be your primary crease brush34:55
    • I also really like to use these smaller crease brushes for blending around the look35:00
    • I dip into a pressed powder and I gently blend around the perimeter of the eye look and that creates a very diffused, professional look35:13
    • If you put a little bit too much eye shadow on, go in with a clean one, blend it out, you know, just where you need it and that's going to help you sheer out that mistake35:30
  27. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Shodō Eye Set at 36:18 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I highly recommend these. I highly, highly recommend these, especially if you like more natural makeup, if you struggle to blend your eye shadow35:47
    • These are going to have those layered bristles that make it so that you don't pick up too much product and they really help you blend and diffuse even the deepest and most colorful pigmented eye shadows36:18
    • If you're a little bit nervous of like that bright shade in the palette or the dark shade in the palette or you're nervous about making the look too smoky or heavy, cuz I don't want my look to be too heavy either. I would highly take a look at these36:34
    • They come in a variety of sizes. A lot of times they come in a set, which is typically a better value. Highly recommend that36:46
  28. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Rephr Brush 23 at 38:26 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • The first one that I would 100% pick up immediately is the Rephr number 2337:41
    • This is the tiniest, bittiest little pencil brush that is perfect for the lower lash line, especially when you want to get so close to the lashes38:26
    • I really love using this little brush to get super close, to get that very diffused type of look without having it be too heavy38:55
    • I'm sure you could use this like in the inner corner as well, but I really use this on the lower lash line. That is where this brush shines39:06
  29. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty Nikki La Rose N22 Detail Brush at 41:00 in a YouTube Shorts video
    BK Beauty$19.20
    • This is the N22, and you can see right there, it's basically shaped like a pencil or like a paintbrush, right? So, what are you going to do with the pencil? You're going to draw the shadow exactly where you want it40:46
    • This is what I use when I want to create and draw that depth in the outer corner41:00
    • I just find that this is the perfect shape, the perfect size to be very precise, pack on the shadow, but to almost draw it exactly where you want it that it doesn't get all, you know, gross and messy on the outer corner of the eye, especially when you are working with those darker pigments
  30. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing BK Beauty 208 Eyeliner Brush at 41:55 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • I think is the most underrated BK Beauty brush. I feel like more people need to talk about this41:47
    • Whenever I use this brush, I'm always getting people in the comments asking me, What is that brush?41:55
    • This is the tiniest, cutest, most precise eyeliner brush that I have in my collection42:09
    • It's also like very soft and has a nice bend to it, so it doesn't flick the pigment all over my face when I go in. It's not scratchy like some of the others that I've tried in the past42:19
    • I just find that you can create the most precise little baby wing42:31
    • This is going to be so, so precise
    • I also love that I can like really get in to the corner of the eye if I want to build up a little bit more depth on the lower lash line as well42:49
  31. @sofiaseesbeauty reviewing Surratt Beauty Perfectionist Complexion Brush at 43:34 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • This is the Surratt Perfectionist complexion brush. I think I have like three or four of these43:19
    • This is a flat brush, but it has a little point to it. It's very precise. This is what I use to clean up my brows to get this snatched look43:34
    • This is what I use to clean up my eye looks if I really want to snatch that eyeliner and get a very crisp line43:43
    • If I want to kind of lift the eye by removing any little bit of pigment that may have gotten right here along the corner of the eye
    • If I have a bright pigmented lipstick, and I want to like really get a crisp line here. If there's any little mistake on my face, I am using this brush44:01
    • This is just my little detail fixer, picker upper. It is just a do-it-all little brush
    • I have multiples of this. It is really what I'm doing behind the scenes to get everything to look very crisp and perfect44:32
