Brand note

Olaplex is the bond-repair brand that hair damage survivors swear by — the original system that made "bond building" a category. The Rich Hydration Mask gets the most enthusiastic reactions: creators say it leaves hair noticeably softer, shinier, and hydrated after just a few minutes. But the line is uneven — the dry shampoo gets called heavy, sticky, and not worth the price, and some find the shampoo/conditioner duo effective but not dramatically better than drugstore alternatives. Best for people with chemically processed or heat-damaged hair who are willing to commit to the full system.
