    Differin$19.99
    • It is a topical retinoid adapalene FDA approved for the treatment of acne
    • It has anti-inflammatory properties that cut down on the inflammation that drives acne and that drives stubborn pigmentation
    • It can help not only treat and prevent acne flare-ups, but can also address those stubborn post-acne marks
    • It flies under the radar as an anti-aging option
    • In contrast to tretinoin or tazarotene, it tends to be generally a lot easier to tolerate
    • It has been shown to improve the visible signs of sun damage and skin aging
    • It also can help improve collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin making it a viable option for improving little fine lines and wrinkles
    • I personally started my topical retinoid journey with Differin Gel
    • I really started to notice several months into using it improvement in sunspots
    • Over time, I noted that the skin was getting plumper, smoother, and I was seeing quite a decrease and some little fine lines
    • I maintain that as far as an accessible, affordable, and generally well-tolerated retinoid, that is a slept on option for not only, of course, acne, but for anti-aging purposes

    Aveeno$17.52
    • It has to be one of the least expensive per unit sunscreens
    • It's a chemical sunscreen, it's water resistant
    • It's not heavy on the surface of the skin. It's breathable. It's lightweight
    • It does not leave a white cast
    • My one gripe with this sunscreen is that it does have fragrance
    • The fragrance is not super strong
    • I think this is an excellent option, not only for the body, but you can use this on the face
    • It's hydrating. It's moisturizing, but it's not heavy

    • My go-to sunscreen stick is the Abib Airy Sunstick
    • I discovered this last year, and it is wonderful
    • It's a chemical sunscreen. It's water-resistant
    • There is zero cast
    • It doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the skin whatsoever
    • I love that it's water-resistant, making it even better for use around the eyes
    • This is such a nice design because, first of all, it is a wide base, so it really helps to give you a good spread efficiently and cut down on skip areas
    • It's slim, and it has this curvature to it. Very easy to use around the eyes
    • This serves as a great primer for your concealer
    • This is a great under eye balm for just that, and you're getting excellent sun protection, fragrance-free

    • I have been recommending this product over and over again for years across multiple videos
    • I use it myself and it is a product that really yields dramatically noticeable differences above and beyond standard moisturizers
    • This has 12% ammonium lactate, the salt of lactic acid
    • It is a great anti-aging body product
    • The following morning after using this lotion, the skin on my lower legs, it looks 10 years younger
    • It's not only moisturized and hydrated, but the skin has this shiny appearance
    • This is mirror skin. It's like a reflective hydrated surface and light is just boom, right off. It is amazing

    • It's not only effective, but it's one of those, yeah, face and body, super affordable baseline
    • This is hydrating. It quenches. It really maximally helps to hold hydration in and it can be used on the face
    • It's great, actually, for just improving hydration and diminishing the appearance of those little dehydration lines
    • This is a product from them that I hope they never discontinue because it's affordable, it's effective. I absolutely adore it

    Aveeno$26.16
    • This is a colloidal oatmeal skin protectant
    • Colloidal oatmeal also is very hydrating and it has these compounds in it called avenanthramides that exert an anti-inflammatory effect
    • In contrast to many other skin protectants, it hits another aspect of barrier issues, if you will, and that is the inflammation, which drives more stubborn itch
    • In those situations, you want to elect a balm or an ointment, not a cream or a lotion
    • It is much less likely to sting or burn
    • This is an excellent option
    • It really does make your skin look dewy, plump, and soft

    Kerasal$13.93
    • It is an ointment with urea and salicylic acid, keratolytic, great for rough callus
    • It is also excellent for your toenails, and it can be helpful in clearing up, not as a standalone, but as an adjunct to toenail fungus treatments, the urea in this
    • I love it as an ointment. Ointments have better longevity on the skin
    • If you are really like looking down at your feet, you're like, Whoa, I really neglected these this winter, and you're thinking about going and getting a pedicure, choose this instead
    • It's a little pricey at baseline, but you don't need very much to create a thin film and it's effective
    • It's really a game-changer for rejuvenating the look of your feet

    Anua$24.00
    • This is one I actually have been using for a while and I recently brought it back into my AM routine and I'm about 2/3 of the way finished with a bottle of it
    • Azelaic acid is great for calming down redness, irritation
    • It's helpful for people who have acne-prone skin and rosacea, and also for hyperpigmentation
    • It really hits a lot of concerns and is generally well-tolerated
    • What I like about this particular formula is not only do you have the azelaic acid in there, but you also have humectants, so it's very hydrating
    • It's thin, it's lightweight, it's hydrating. It kind of preps the skin for whatever else you're going to use
    • I have loved this, and I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite azelaic acid products

    Avène$40.00
    • It's of particular benefit for those of you who struggle with sensitivity
    • This particular serum from Avène, the Cicalfate serum, it has an ingredient in it that can kind of address that specific aspect of sensitivity
    • It's a fragrance-free serum. It's also hydrating, moisturizing
    • If you have the symptoms of sensitivity, this is one to try out

    • It is an ascorbic acid serum, so that is brownie point number one because a lot of brands just skip the ascorbic acid and put in these derivatives that haven't really been shown to do what ascorbic acid does
    • Neutrogena is a brand that has a lot of R&D behind their formulations. They take them into clinical studies
    • It is an ascorbic acid serum that you can be confident in, but you're not shelling out that price point
    • It's at an effective percentage strength, and it also has some other antioxidants in the formula that likely play a supporting role in stabilizing the ascorbic acid
    • What I really love about this is two things. First of all, is gluconolactone, which is a polyhydroxy acid
    • It also has this micropeptide that they actually worked quite a bit on developing for, I'm going to say, 15 years
    • It has been taken into the clinic and tested on actual patients and shown to improve wrinkles and interestingly enough, lower facial sagging
    • This is one that at baseline is affordable. It meets all the criteria for what I would consider a good vitamin C serum
    • I've used an entire bottle. It didn't cause me irritation, nor did it change weird colors or discolor my skin
    • All brownie points in favor of this as an affordable alternative to the C E Ferulic

    • I think it is a great affordable dupe for a super popular expensive exfoliant
    • It has lactic acid in it and it has some other alpha hydroxy acids. It's a lightweight hydrating milky toner
    • You get quite a bit of product in this bottle
    • It does effectively hydrate and gently gently exfoliate rough skin texture
    • This is a great option not only for rejuvenating dry dull rough skin texture
    • It can be used on the body, but it's also really wonderful if you have keratosis pilaris
    • This does what that does, but much less expensive. Very good formulation. Highly recommend that, and it's on sale

    • It's a great cosmetic, but it's very hydrating
    • It stays on the skin of the lips well. It doesn't rub off
    • It has no fragrance or flavorant in it, which I adore because fragrance and flavorant are ingredients that can cause some problems on the lips for people
    • It does help the lips stay hydrated and moisturized
    • It can be used over your lipstick. It can be used over an SPF lip balm, and it's really just a nice hydrating formula that brings out the natural color of the lips nicely
    • I have gone through an entire tube of the lip oil, loved it

    • The overnight mask I discovered several years ago, and kept it in my travel bag
    • I think it performs better, in my opinion, and in contrast to those, there's no fragrance or flavorants
    • It's very thick. It has great longevity on the skin
    • It's a nice alternative to plain petroleum jelly, which is underrated, honestly, for overnight lip care needs
    • Not only does it really lock hydration in, but it has a humectants in there to hydrate the lips
    • I really love this approach of a thick occlusive ointment to the lips at night
