  1. @slashedbeauty reviewing e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip Primer at 01:24 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • This is a non-comedogenic primer, which means it's not going to clog your pores1:04
    • It does have a pretty thick consistency to it, and it can be hard to spread1:24
    • You can feel it on the face. I have never considered this a lightweight product1:38
    • This does give you a very slick, dewy look, and that radiance does show through your foundation1:51
    • I think that the results are really pretty2:29
    • Those with oily skin may want to balance it out with a bit more of a matte foundation2:31
    • This primer helps smooth the skin. It definitely minimizes the appearance of my pores and texture2:41
    • Some of my expression lines were more noticeable kind of right away2:51
    • I definitely look shinier on my forehead and around my nose. It's definitely teetering the boundary of looking greasy2:57
    • I don't love how it looks around some of my skin texture and lines3:15
    • I thought it looked cakey around my skin texture and my acne scarring3:24
    • I was also bummed to see so much creasing in my laugh lines3:38
    • This worked phenomenally on me just 3 years ago, but now there are better options for where my skin is at at this point in my life4:43
    • Grippiness, this is a five out of five. This is the stickiest grippy primer that I'm talking about in this video
    • Glow... I'd say it's at about four, maybe even a 4.5
  2. @slashedbeauty reviewing Maybelline Grippy Serum 24-Hour Gripping Hydrating Primer at 07:00 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • It starts off with a very very thin and runny consistency. I mean, it really does look like a skin care serum, which means it's very easy to spread over the skin6:45
    • After just a few moments it starts drying down to more of that sticky sensation7:00
    • It's definitely adding a dewy appearance to my skin, though I don't think it looks too wet7:15
    • I did notice that I was looking a bit more radiant with this primer underneath, but not overly shiny7:33
    • All of my products were applying really well over this because of that thinner consistency7:37
    • I really liked how my makeup looked on top of this. Everything was smooth, even, and I thought the radiance this gave me was natural-looking7:50
    • I thought that this primer made my foundation and just my makeup overall look a little bit heavier right off the bat
    • As far as wear time goes, this has been pretty impressive. I didn't lose all that much coverage throughout the majority of my face8:22
    • I did feel at the end of the day that my texture was looking kind of dry and patchy8:33
    • My acne and acne scarring did seem accentuated8:42
    • I did have some slight creasing in my laugh lines as well8:45
    • Grippiness. I'd say about 3.5 out of five
    • Skin feel... I would say like a 2.5
    • Glow. Solid three, 3.59:20
    • Wear time. I think I'm going to give it a four out of five because it did hold on to a lot of my makeup, but with patchiness and creasing9:24
  3. @slashedbeauty reviewing Essence Jelly Grip Hydrating Primer at 10:36 in a YouTube Shorts video
    Essence$5.99
    • This is only $5.99
    • This does have fragrance, which I'm not a huge fan of, but it's not super overwhelming10:24
    • As someone with acne-prone, sensitive skin, I don't think that the fragrance has caused any irritation on me10:36
    • This is probably the thinnest grippy primer that I've ever tried10:53
    • Almost feels like it is kind of sinking in a bit versus just creating that layer on top of your face10:55
    • I do feel a bit more of the hydrating feeling from this formula versus the others11:06
    • As it dries, it starts to get a bit tacky, but it's not sticky. It doesn't feel like my expression lines are getting stuck together as I move my face around11:21
    • This is just a very comfortable product
    • I did see a smoothing effect with this
    • It adds a radiance, but I really think that it stays in the natural category or the natural spectrum, and it does not really lean into dewy or even that glowy
    • I was shocked at how my makeup looked at the end of the day. Only the slightest bit of fading, if any
    • Everything still looked very even. No obvious wear near my expression lines. It was still pretty smooth and evenly blended over my texture. My pores were still a little bit blurred
    • I barely look shinier than I did in the morning after this super long day
    • Grippiness, I would say like two out of five because it definitely gripped onto my makeup, but it wasn't sticky
    • Skin feel... this is a one. Very lightweight. I'd say the most lightweight of all the primers I'm mentioning in this video10:49
  4. @slashedbeauty reviewing Revolution Superfix Grip Primer at 14:11 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • With this one we're definitely getting back into that thicker, grippier territory14:06
    • It's definitely spreadable, but quickly starts drying down to that stickier feel with a more substantial consistency. Though, it's still more lightweight than the elf one, I think14:11
    • This is actually stronger than the Essence one, though14:26
    • This primer definitely adds dewiness. Because of my skin type, I was a little hesitant. I thought that it looked a little much when I just had it over my bare skin14:30
    • I thought it was a little harder to blend my makeup over this product. Like as it dried down, it got sticky to the point where I wasn't really able to push the product around my face as easily14:48
    • I kind of had to add more product than maybe I would have with another primer, and so my makeup did end up looking a little heavier15:02
    • I do see some smoothing when I use this, but maybe not as much as the Essence primer15:09
    • I'm getting some shine coming through. I can't deny that the coverage is holding strong even over my texture. Very minimal creasing in my laugh lines15:15
    • Grippiness, I would say 3.5. The tacky factor is definitely like right below Elf15:25
    • Skin feel... I'd give this a three. I wouldn't call this heavy and it does have a bit of runniness to it, but I mean, look, like it's got some viscosity to it. And I just I wouldn't call it heavy, I would just call it noticeable15:31
    • Glow, four out of five. If you want glow, this is the one you want. You start out glowy, you get a little glowier throughout the day15:45
    • Wear time, I'm going to give this a four out of five. Again, I feel like this is right under Elf. Even though I think my makeup looks a little heavy over this primer, it does still look smooth at the end of the day. It really did hold on to my final look and kept that look in place all day
  5. @slashedbeauty reviewing L'oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation at 02:05 in a YouTube Shorts video
    • For me, if I'm choosing to use a grippy primer, it's because I'm doing a more full face makeup look. And this is a medium to full buildable coverage foundation. I usually build it up to full2:05
