My name is Shelly and I'm a web coding geek. I spent most of my life as the almost-tomboy, girl-next-door type. Somewhere around my 40th birthday (2014), I realized that I had been misinformed about a lot of things as a kid - skin tones, colors, fashion and clothing sizing... that misinformation shaped my (lack of) beauty and fashion sense, and as I started learning new things, I became obsessed. I also quickly found that there's a bit of a black hole on YouTube when it comes to the 40-something beauty blogger. (Hello, out there! Where are you?!) I'm here to share the things I've learned about skin care, makeup, and such in hopes that you won't have to wait as long as I did to discover the joy that is love, confidence, and self expression through makeup and beauty.
